The Opportunity:
Become a vital member of our dynamic crane servicing team in Western Australia & South Australia and embark on a journey with Nobles as a FIFO Overhead Crane Technician. We are in search of a proficient individual to undertake tasks such as installing, testing, adjusting, and conducting routine maintenance on the electrical and mechanical elements of cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment. The selected candidate will also play a key role in repairing overhead cranes, identifying faults, installing electrical switchboards, and ensuring the smooth connection of electrical systems to power supplies. FIFO from any capital city, This position offers camp accommodation and a flexible even time roster.
Tasks and responsibilities may include:
- Install, test, adjust & carry out routine maintenance on the electric & mechanical parts of cranes, hoists & lifting equipment.
- Select, cut & connect to terminals, the appropriate wiring or cabling as required.
- Repair overhead cranes, hoists & lifting equipment by identifying & diagnosing faults using appropriate electrical & electronic instrumentation.
- Install electrical switchboards.
- Connect electrical systems to power supply.
- Test circuit continuity.
- Complete electronic service reports.
- Travel to other sites.
The successful applicant will have:
- 3-5 years’ experience working AS1418 and AS2550 standards will be advantageous.
- WA Electrical license. Or Mutual recognition.
- Experience in Manufacturing, engineering, mining, field services, lifting & rigging.
- C class drivers’ license.
- Valid working at heights qualification.
- High Risk EWP license.
- Ability to travel/work away for periods of time.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Detail orientated.
Must be able to complete a pre-employment medical and a Drug & Alcohol screen.

What you will be working on

What type of Person will be successful
- You will have experience working with the Tippers, Skid Steers, front end loaders, dozers, graders and excavators.
- Nationally accredited tickets in Excavator, Loader, Roller and Skid Steer.
- Minimum Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s license.
- Construction Industry White Card
- Proven experience in civil construction, earthworks and building maintenance in a mining/FIFO environment is highly desired.

What you will be working on?
You will be responsible for providing a high standard of drainage solutions on major project works relating to civils, construction and earthworks in the Pilbara. This position will ensure the smooth installation and delivery of sewage, piping and drainage support systems.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Install pipes, watermains, fittings, drains and trench support systems for sewage and drainage.
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting and understanding site plans and drawings.
- Drain construction work sites of excess water from pit, trench or excavation.
- Assist with plan layout and marking out of materials, as required.
- Able to collaborate within a team and report to your supervisor daily.

The Opportunity:
Would you like to work across the Pilbara in Western Australian with our tier one clients on shutdowns and/or projects?
We are looking for experienced Electrical Supervisor’s who are highly motivated and driven.
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Demonstrated experience as an Electrical Supervisor within the mining and resource sector on projects and shutdowns;
- Working knowledge of on-site statutory electrical requirements;
- An ability to work effectively within a team with well developed communication skills;
- EWP and Working at Heights;
- Provide First Aid (CPR within one year);
- Section 44 or Schedule 26;
- High Risk Card (EWP);
- Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment;
- WA A Grade license;
- BHP and Rio Tinto inducted and
- Valid WA C or HR class driver’s license.
